Call Blocking

Call Blocking

What is a Blocked Number?

blocked number is any phone number that has been specifically restricted from calling into your phone system. Blocking a number prevents unwanted or disruptive callers—such as telemarketers, spam, or abusive numbers—from reaching your users, enhancing both security and user experience.

Adding a Blocked Number

1. From the main menu on the left, navigate to: "UC Admin" "Settings and Security" "Blocked Numbers"

2. Select  “+ Add Blocked Number”  in the upper-right corner.

3.  Complete the form with the following required information:
  1. Phone Number: The number you want to block (include country code if applicable).
  2. Reason for Blocking: A brief description for internal reference (e.g., “Spam calls,” “Customer request,” “Security risk”).

4. Select “Add” in the lower-right to save the entry.

Managing Blocked Numbers

To view, edit, or remove existing blocked numbers:

1. From the Blocked Numbers page, you’ll see a list of all currently blocked numbers.

2. Locate the number you want to manage and either:
  1. Click directly on the phone number, or
  2. Click the three vertical dots on the right and choose Edit or Delete.

3. When editing, you can update both the number, and the reason for blocking.

AlertBe sure to click “Update” at the bottom of the screen to save your changes before navigating away.
