What Is a Conference Bridge?
A Conference Bridge is a shared virtual meeting space that allows multiple callers to join a single phone call—ideal for team meetings, customer briefings, or multi-party support discussions. Participants join the conference by dialing an assigned extension and entering a PIN (if required).
Example: A manager hosts a weekly team call where all team members dial into extension 8001 and enter a participant PIN to join the meeting.
Creating a New Conference Bridge
1. From the main menu on the left, navigate to: "UC Admin" → "Call Control Apps" → "Conference Bridges"
2. Select “+ Add Conference Bridge” in the upper-right corner.
3. Complete the form with the following required information:
- Assigned Account: Select the account this bridge belongs to. This field only appears if you have not already selected an account from the main dropdown at the top right of the page.
- Label: Enter a name used for internal identification (e.g., "Weekly Sales Call").
4. Select “Add” in the lower-right to create the bridge.
5. Once the conference bridge is created, you’ll be redirected to a page where you can further customize it (refer to Step 3 in the Management section below).
