Extension Numbering Guidelines
Overview
Keeping your extension numbers organized is essential for long-term scalability, ease of management, and user clarity, especially as your organization grows. A well-structured numbering plan makes it easier to assign new users, integrate additional locations, and troubleshoot issues.
Extension numbers can range from 3 to 5 digits, giving you flexibility in how you build out your system. The goal is to implement a logical, predictable structure that supports both current operations and future expansion.
