Manually Provisioning a Cisco ATA
Overview
You will need the following information to complete the steps below:
- The Provisioning URL.
- From the PBX Admin Portal, navigate to Extensions → Provisioning.
(The following screenshots apply to both provisioning articles below.)
How Do I Provision a Cisco SPA122 ATA?
1. Plug the SPA122 into a power source, and plug an Ethernet Cable from your router/switch to the Ethernet Port on the ATA.
2. Manually change your computer's IP address to 192.168.15.2 (Subnet 255.255.255.0, no gateway).
How you do this will depend on your operating system.
3. Launch your internet browser (Google Chrome is preferred) and go to 192.168.15.1.
4. When prompted, enter the default login/password of admin / admin.
Note: The Primevox System changes the default password to admin123
5. Navigate to the Voice → Provisioning.
Replace the entire Profile Rule with the Provisioning URL ((item A above).
Set the Transport Protocol to HTTP
6. Click Submit, and wait 40 seconds.
7. Navigate to the Network Setup tab and set Network to Bridge Mode.
8. Click Submit:
While the device boots, switch the Ethernet Cable to the Internet Port on the ATA.
Wait about 5 minutes. If the power light is still blinking, reboot the ATA manually by pulling the power plug.
Wait another 5 minutes. The ATA should be provisioned at this point. If it is still not provisioned, contact Technical Support.
IMPORTANT NOTE: When done, be sure to set the computer's IP address back to normal.
How Do I Provision a Cisco SPA112 / SPA8000 ATA?
1. Plug the ATA into a power source and into the network.
2. Locate your devices' IP address by using an IP Scanner that allows you to search by MAC on your network.
3. Launch your internet browser (Google Chrome is preferred) and enter that IP address.
4. When prompted, enter the default login/password of admin / admin.
5. Navigate to the Voice → Provisioning.
Replace the entire Profile Rule with the Provisioning URL (see Overview section)
Set the protocol to HTTP
6. Click Submit, and wait 40 seconds.
Wait about 5 minutes. If the power light is still blinking, reboot the ATA manually by pulling the power plug.
Wait another 5 minutes. The ATA should be provisioned at this point. If it is still not provisioned, contact Technical Support.
