Manually Provisioning Cisco Phones
Overview
Applies to Models SPA30x / SPA5xxx
You will need the following information to complete the steps below:
A. The IP address of the Cisco phone. On the phone, press the Setup button (
), navigate to Settings > Network Configuration. Scroll to view the current IP address; and
B. The Provisioning URL. From the PBX Admin Portal, navigate to Extensions → Provisioning.
NOTE: If the phone you are about to provision was previously purchased from or provisioned by another service provider, please reset your phone before proceeding with the following steps.
How do I provision my Cisco phones?
1. Launch your internet browser (Google Chrome is preferred).
2. Enter the IP address (item A above) of the Cisco phone into your browser.
3. When prompted enter the default login/password of admin / admin.
4. Select the Voice tab.
- Set the entire Profile Rule with the Provisioning URL (item B above).
- Set the protocol to HTTP.
5. Click Submit, then wait 40 seconds.
Wait approximately 5 minutes. If the phone is not provisioned, reboot it again.
