My Phone Number Shows up as "Spam Risk"

My Phone Number Shows up as "Spam Risk"

There are multiple factors that determine whether an incoming call would be labeled “Spam Likely” or “Spam Risk”. Many of these factors are controlled by regulatory agencies and not by PrimeVOX directly.

Customers Still Switching to PrimeVOX

If you are still in the process of switching your phone services to PrimeVOX and your phone numbers have NOT ported to our network yet, your phone numbers may show up as Spam. This would only occur when you dial out of your PrimeVOX phones.

This is due to the FCC’s (Federal Communications Commission) new STIR/SHAKEN regulations regarding “Spoofing” that became effective in June of 2021. “Spoofing” is a term that refers to the act of displaying a specific phone number when making an outbound call through a carrier that does not currently control that same phone number.

Fortunately, this issue will resolve itself once your numbers officially port to PrimeVOX.

Customers With Numbers Ported To PrimeVOX

If your phone numbers have already been ported to PrimeVOX, then it's possible someone, somewhere has reported your phone number as Spam. Unfortunately, PrimeVOX is unable to remove phone numbers from spam list directly. You can report your number as legitimate by filling out the online forms below or emailing specific spam report providers listed.
