Voicemails

Introduction

The Voicemails section allows UC Users to easily access, manage, and take action on voicemail messages left on their assigned extensions. Voicemails can be listened to directly from the portal, and users can download, delete, transfer, or read transcripts where available.

Checking Voicemails

1. From the left pop-out menu, navigate to: "UC User""Voicemails"

2. You’ll see a list of available extensions that you have permission to view. Each entry shows:
  1. Total number of voicemails
  2. Number of unread voicemails

3. Click on the extension number you want to review. This opens the voicemail inbox for that specific extension.

4. Once inside the voicemail inbox, you will see a table with the following details for each message:
  1. Read/Unread status (visually indicated; can change status if desired)
  2. Date/time received (hover your cursor over the date received for detailed date/time info)
  3. Caller ID
  4. Call-back number (if available)
  5. Duration of the message

5. To interact with a voicemail:
  1. Click the Caller ID (purple) or use the three vertical dots to the right of the voicemail.

  2. Available actions include:
    1. Listen to the voicemail in-browser
    2. Download the voicemail audio file (WAV/MP3)
    3. Read the transcription of the voicemail (if transcription is enabled)
    4. Transfer the voicemail to another extension
    5. Delete the voicemail if no longer needed

IdeaTip: If you manage multiple extensions, quickly switch between them by using the Extension dropdown menu in the upper right of the screen.
